
Robert S. Davidson, M.D., F.A.C.S
Dr. Davidson was born and raised in Swampscott, Massachusetts, just north of Boston. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1988 and his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School in 1993. He completed his surgical residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 1998.
Following residency he completed two fellowships in surgical oncology. First an NIH sponsored research fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas and more recently a clinical fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York.
Dr. Davidson is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. He is a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology and American Society of Clinical Oncology.
He is the Cancer Liaison for Mease Hospitals and a member of the Mease Cancer Committee. He is an active weekly Tumor Board participant.
As a surgical oncologist his interests include gastrointestinal malignancies, breast cancer, sarcomas and cutaneous malignancies, particularly, melanoma. He also utilizes laparoscopy and intraoperative ultrasound for some GI malignancies, both for staging and selective operative management.
