David G. Berry, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Berry was born and raised in suburban Philadelphia, and completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Villanova University. He received his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, and completed residency training in general surgery at the Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC. In addition, Dr. Berry completed a postgraduate fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.

Dr. Berry is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of various local, regional, and national medical societies.

His special interests include surgery for peripheral arterial disease, stroke prevention surgery of the carotid artery, minimally invasive stent grafting for aortic aneurysm, and limb salvage surgery for advanced arterial blockages of the lower extremities. He has an extensive experience in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, abdominal wall hernia surgery, and a variety of laparoscopic abdominal surgeries.

Dr. Berry has served as President of the Medical Staff at the Morton Plant Mease hospitals affiliated with Baycare. He is an Excellence in Medicine Award recipient, and has served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery, Surgical Board of Directors, Medical Executive Committee, and as Director of Surgical Quality.

Dr. Berry is the current managing partner for Surgical Associates of West Florida.
